Hughes Family Adventures

Another of Joe's races took us to Vermont ...

... and we all had a fabulous time! Last month, Joe joined (for the first time) his good friends in an event they have all done several times over the past decade or so. THE VERMONT 50 (click here to go to website) is a 50 mile mountain bike race, combined with a 50k ultra run to raise money for the VERMONT ADAPTIVE SKI & SPORTS and wonderful organization Joe worked with nearly 15 years ago.

Joe and his Bros. (as Tara refers to them!) did outstanding in the race finishing in 7 hours, even after spending nearly half an hour helping two injured racers (one of them severely, with a fractured hip) Proud of you all !

While in Vermont, we stayed at the Ascutney Mountain Resort , same place Joe stayed when he worked with the Vermont Adaptive Ski & Sports many years ago. Martha's Vineyard - August 2007

We were fortunate enough to be invited out to Martha's Vineyard where we spent 4 glorious days. Most definitely a place we would love to visit again. Thank you Ted & Patsy!
